Ex-BSI Banker Found Guilty in 1MDB Case
Yak Yew Chee, a former BSI SA private banker has been found guilty in the case linked to 1MDB. He is now the first banker to be convicted in the corruption and money laundering checks involving the Malaysian fund. He is sentenced to 18 weeks in jail and a $24,000 fine.
The charges include forging documents and failing to disclose suspicious transactions allegedly related to Malaysian financier Low Taek Jho.
