Deutsche Private Bank Hires Private Banking Veteran Shankar Jha as Group Head of Global South Asia Team, Sachin Thussu as Investment Advisor

Deutsche Private Bank is growing its South Asia team, with the hiring of private banking veteran Shankar Jha as Managing Director and Group Head of Global South Asia team in Singapore and reporting to Amrit Singh (Head of Global South Asia, Deutsche Bank Wealth Management). Shankar Jha has over 20 years of private banking & wealth management experience, including DBS Private Bank, UBS and Citibank covering Singapore, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, India and the United Kingdom. Deutsche Private Bank also announced the hiring of Sachin Thussu as Director and Senior Investment Advisor in Singapore, and will report to Ritesh Goenka (Head of Investment Management Global South Asia). Sachin Thussu has over 20 years of experience cross financial markets (FX and precious metals) and cross asset advisory, including DBS Private Bank, Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Private Bank and Citibank, across desks in London, Zurich & Singapore, and covering clients ranging from private wealth to quasi-institutions.

Deutsche Private Bank Expands Global South Asia Team
In 2021, Deutsche Private Bank Global South Asia team has already hired 14 Relationship Manager in Dubai, Geneva, and Singapore, including Dhananjay Rathore and Shankar Jha as Managing Directors, Richard Van-Dirmen, Hervé Alykhan Ladak, Randeep Singh and Harshin Shah as Directors. Dhananjay was previously with Julius Baer, and Shankar was with DBS prior to joining the Bank. 3 investment advisors have also joined the team in Dubai and Singapore. In India, the team has hired four Relationship Managers, including Rajasekar Ayyalu joining as a Director.
