The top 10 largest companies in the world has a total market capitalization of $13.8 trillion, almost the same size as the 2nd largest economy of China ($14.3 trillion GDP, United States GDP: $21.4 trillion). Apple is the largest company in the world with $2.46 trillion market capitalization. The 2nd largest company is Microsoft with $2.29 trillion market capitalization and the 3rd largest company is Alphabet (Google) with $1.93 trillion. 6 companies has a market capitalization of more than $1 trillion, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Saudi Arabian Oil (Saudi Aramco), Amazon.com and Facebook. 8 of the 10 companies largest companies are technology companies, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon.com, Facebook, Tesla, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and Nvidia. The 2 non-technology companies are Saudi Arabian Oil (Saudi Aramco) and Berkshire Hathaway. The only Asian company in the top 10 largest companies in the world is Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), which is the world’s leading semiconductor & chipmaker and major supplier to Apple.
