The United States Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler has classified crypto assets as securities, which will fall under the oversight of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). United States SEC Chairman Gary Gensler: “The fact is, most crypto tokens involve a group of entrepreneurs raising money from the public in anticipation of profits. That’s the hallmark investment contract or security under our jurisdiction.” ~ At the 2022 International Swaps and Derivatives Association’s AGM
