Nike founder & billionaire with $44 billion fortune Phil Knight has bid $2 billion for NBA team Portland Trail Blazers together with Alan Smolinisky (Part-owner of baseball team Los Angeles Dodgers). NBA team Portland Trail Blazers is owned by the family trust of the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, whom had bought the team in 1988 for $70 million. NBA team Portland Trail Blazers: “An offer was made by Phil Knight. The team remains not for sale.” Phil Knight (age 84) co-founded Nike in 1964, and today is one of the largest sports company in the world with $186 billion market capitalisation (10/6/22).
