HSBC, one of the world’s largest banking group with more than $2.9 trillion assets, has appointed former JP Morgan Chair of South & Southeast Asia Kalpana Morparia as HSBC Group Non-executive board director, with former JP Morgan banker & ex-DBS CEO Jackson Tai to step down from the HSBC board in 2023. HSBC Chair Mark Tucker: “Kalpana is a very experienced banker, with gravitas and presence. Her deep banking expertise and experience of the Asia region, particularly in India and Southeast Asia, will be an asset to the Board.”
