HSBC Private Bank has launched a new family trust advisory service in China for HNW & UHNW (High net worth / Ultra high net worth) clients in 6 cities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen Chengdu & Hangzhou, partnering with 3rd-party services in trust, legal & tax. HSBC will assist clients in the coordination of trust matters, and provide advice on investments and management of the trust assets. The new HSBC Private Banking family trust service forms part of the legacy planning services in China. HSBC Private Bank Hires UBS & Credit Suisse Veteran Henry Lam as Regional Head of Wealth Planning & Advising APAC, To Lead Wealth Planners, Family Governance, Family Office Advisory & Charitable Advisory Specialists
25th March 2023 – HSBC Private Bank has hired UBS & Credit Suisse veteran Henry Lam as HSBC Global Private Banking Regional Head of Wealth Planning & Advising APAC, leading HSBC Wealth Planners, Family Governance, Family Office Advisory & Charitable Advisory Specialists in Asia-Pacific (effective 28/3/23). Henry Lam joins from Credit Suisse after 6 years and last held the role of Head of Wealth Solutions APAC, and prior was with UBS for 21 years and was the Head of Wealth Planning Hong Kong. HSBC: “Henry Lam will also be a key contributor to the bank’s trust advising services, drawing on HSBC Trustee’s 75-year legacy of working with families all throughout the world, notably in Asia. In the interim, he will assist drive the agenda for Asia’s ultra-high net worth company … … A thorough internal and external search procedure led to Lam’s employment.” Based in Hong Kong, Henry Lam will report to Siew Meng Tan, who is the Regional Head of HSBC Global Private Banking APAC.
