Singapore DBS Group has lent $22.3 billion of deposits (S$30 billion) to Singapore central bank MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore), with DBS Group CEO Piyush Gupta highlighting not finding enough opportunities to put money to work. DBS Group has around S$529 billion of deposits and S$417 billion of loans at the end of March 2023. DBS Group is one of the 3 largest banks in Singapore alongside OCBC and UOB Group. DBS has a market capitalization of $59.5 billion (9/6/23), and reported a net profit of $6 billion for 2022.
