Manulife Investment Management with $618 billion AUM (Assets under Management) has appointed Kenny Lam as Chief Investment Officer & Head of Transactions APAC Real Estate (4/10/23). Kenny Lam rejoins Manulife Investment Management after being appointed as Chief Investment Officer at Link REIT following a strategic investment by Manulife Investment Management. Kenny Lam had first joined Manulife Investment Management in 2017 as Head of Asia Real Estate Investments. Manulife Investment Management: “During his previous tenure at Manulife Investment Management, Kenny led the team in making key transactions across Asia Pacific, including the establishment of a joint venture with Kenedix in 2022 to pursue multifamily assets in Japan, the joint acquisition of an 11- hectare logistics facility in Greater Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam with LOGOS in 2022, the purchase of 39 Martin Place Sydney in Australia in partnership with Investa Commercial Property Fund in 2021, and the acquisition of Cityplaza One in Hong Kong together with a consortium of investors in 2020. Manulife Investment Management’s real estate platform provides investment solutions globally as part of its comprehensive private markets’ capabilities.
