JP Morgan has announced the appointment of JP Morgan Hong Kong CEO & Head of Strategy Asia Harshika Patel as CEO of Asia Private Bank, succeeding Kam Shing Kwang (6.5 years as CEO of Asia Private Bank) who is appointed as Chairwoman of JP Morgan North Asia. Harshika Patel joins from JP Morgan Corporate & Investment Banking in Asia, and will retain her existing role as CEO of JP Morgan Hong Kong. Harshika Patel had joined JP Morgan in 2013, and has over 30 years of experience in financial services including senior roles in London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Harshika Patel will report to Martin Marron, CEO of JP Morgan International Private Bank and Filippo Gori, JP Morgan APAC CEO. Newly appointed Chairwoman of JP Morgan North Asia Kam Shing Kwang had joined JP Morgan 25 years ago. In her new role, Kam Shing Kwang will advise JP Morgan’s strategic agenda and strengthen key stakeholder relationships in North Asia. Kam Shing Kwang will report to Filippo Gori, JP Morgan APAC CEO.
