A court in Italy has ruled a share inheritance lawsuit in favour of Italy billionaire & ex-Chairman of Silversea Cruises Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio & family over brother Francesco Lefebvre d’Ovidio for fortune of family holding company (Heritage Cruise Holding, Original Parent Eurosecurities) that owns Silversea Cruises. In 2018, Royal Caribbean (Caribbean Cruises) acquired a majority stake in Silversea Cruises at $2 billion valuation (in exchange for paying $1 billion of debt in Heritage Cruise Holding). In 2020, Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio sold the remaining shares of the company to Royal Caribbean in exchange for Royal Caribbean shares. Francesco Lefebvre d’Ovidio had filed for 52.1% of Silversea Cruises (Heritage Cruise Holding). Francesco Lefebvre d’Ovidio left Heritage Cruise Holding more than 20 years ago to become a History Professor. Silversea Cruises was founded in 1994 by Manfredi & Francesco father Antonio Lefebvre d’Ovidio. In 2001, Antonio Lefebvre d’Ovidio died and Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio was appointed as Chairman of Silversea Cruises. Antonio Lefebvre d’Ovidio has 4 children.
