BNP Paribas Asset Management has announced the appointment of Maya Kamdani as President Director of Indonesia succeeding Priyo Santoso. Maya Kamdani has more than 25 years of financial industry & investment management experience in Indonesia & United States, and had joined BNP Paribas Asset Management in 2008. Mike Nikou, CEO of BNP Paribas Asset Management APAC: “With her in-depth knowledge in the financial industry and capital markets, Maya Kamdani is the right person to continue leadership of the Company. I am confident that with her abilities, Maya will lead the Company to continue providing services and the best solutions for our customers as well as making a positive contribution to the development of the investment management industry in Indonesia. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Priyo for his dedication to PT BNP Paribas Asset Management – Indonesia for the last four years. During his tenure, he played an important role in building the Company’s sustainability strategy while increasing our exposure in the sustainable investment space for our customers.” In November 2023, BNP Paribas Asset Management hired Manulife Investment Management Peggy Lee as Hong Kong CEO & Chief Marketing Officer APAC (8/11/23), succeeding Guillaume Wehry who is relocating to Europe (BNP Paribas). Peggy Lee joins from Manulife Investment Management where she was the Global Head of Retail Marketing & Chief Marketing Officer Asia, and has 20 years of experience in the financial industry including at HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank & Allianz Global Investors. Peggy Lee will report to Mike Nikou (BNP Paribas Asset Management Asia Pacific CEO) and Paul Van Eynde (BNP Paribas Asset Management Global Chief Marketing Officer).
