China hedge hund Shanghai Banxia Investment Management ($1.4 billion AUM) flagship Banxia Macro Fund has reported -25% record losses after registering 25% maximum drawdown from peak value in mid-2023.  Shanghai Banxia Investment Management founder Li Bei made a public posting on WeChat of wrong bet of a quick China recovery.   Li Bei Profile – Ms. Li Bei is a pioneer and leader in the domestic macro hedge investment field. In 2011, Ms. Li Bei initiated and managed the earliest true macro hedge fund still operating in China: Honghu Heavy Domain Macro Hedge Fund. During the period of managing the Honghu series of macro hedge funds, the funds managed by Li Bei and the institution where the managed funds were managed, Shanghai Honghu Investment, won many important awards in the industry due to their outstanding performance in managing the funds. Among them, they won the award for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015.
