National Australia Bank Appoints Andrew Irvine as NAB Group CEO Succeeding Ross McEwan Who is Retiring

National Australia Bank (NAB) has announced the appointment of Andrew Irvine as NAB Group CEO (2/4/24), succeeding Ross McEwan who is retiring. Andrew Irvine will also assume the position of Australian Banking Association Chair from Mr McEwan on behalf of NAB, which accepted Chair bank responsibilities for two years from December 2023. Andrew Irvine is NAB’s Group Executive Business and Private Banking since 2020. Prior to joining NAB, Andrew Irvine was Head of Canadian Business Banking at the Bank of Montreal (BMO), Canada’s oldest bank and one of its largest financial institutions. He had held a range of roles at BMO over more than 12 years and previously worked for McKinsey & Company, Lycos Europe and Credit Agricole. A British-Canadian dual citizen, Mr Irvine has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business Management and Commerce from King’s College London and a Master of Business Administration from Western University in Ontario, Canada.
