A Hong Kong headquartered MNC had lost $25.6 million (HKD 200 million) in a deepfake video conference fraud with key individuals including CFO replicated on the video call. An employee was instructed during the conference call to transfer $25.6 million in 15 transfers to 5 bank accounts in Hong Kong. In the conference call, everyone is fake except the victim (employee).
