France banking group Societe Generale had uncovered unauthorized options contracts on India stock indices by 2 traders in Hong Kong in 2023. Societe Generale risk-management systems had failed to detect the unauthorized trades. Societe Generale reported no losses incurred on the trades. The 2 traders had left the bank.
