HSBC Life Singapore has launched a new universal life plan for HNW & UHNW clients (high net worth, ultra high net worth), with the new HSBC Life Diamond Prestige IUL providing clients with options to invest in a general account or index account linked to S&P 500 index (return capped at 10% & floor at 0%). The new HSBC Life Diamond Prestige IUL will also provide minimum guaranteed surrender value with interest of 2% per annum, loyalty bonus of 0.35% from year 11 onwards, 1% discount on insurance charges for 10 years with improvement in health factors, and smokers to have lower policy charges than non-smokers for the initial 3 years if they quit smoking for 12 consecutive months by the end of year 3.
