Kazakhstan billionaire & eldest nephew of ex-Kazakhstan President (Nursultan Nazarbayev) Kairat Satybaldyuly has transferred $1.65 billion of assets to the Kazakhstan government after investigations of illegal acquisition of assets. Kairat Satybaldyuly had founded investment firm Alatau Capital Invest in 2015 and acquired large shareholdings in Kazakhstan largest fintech group Kaspi.kz. In 2019, he sold 30% of Kaspi.kz before the $6.5 billion IPO plan. Kairat Satybaldyuly also acquired 252 kilometres of rail sidetracks in most of large Kazakhstan cities. He had been sentenced to 6 years jail for embezzlement & money laundering. Earlier in May 2024, Kazakhstan ex-President Nursultan Nazarbayev son-in-law & billionaire Timur Kulibayev with $5 billion fortune sold his London Mayfair Mansion to North Wind Capital for $42 million in March 2024. North Wind was founded by ex-Deutsche Bank real estate banker Ben Williams. UK property ownership UBO declaration (Ultimate Beneficial owner) shows Timur Kulibayev ownership via BVI-registered (British Virgin Island) Merix of International Ventures which owns 41 Upper Grosvenor Street and Luxembourg-registered Vitala Investment Holdings which owns 42 Upper Grosvenor Street.
