Asset manager First Sentier Investors with $157 billion AUM has appointed Christy Goh as Head of Intermediary Business for Asia & CEO Singapore (18 years with First Sentier, Joined in 2006), and Marcus Ong appointed as Head of Institutional Business for Asia. Both Christy Goh & Marcus Ong are promoted to the new roles with immediate effect, and will report to Lauren Prendiville (First Sentier Investors Managing Director & Head of Distribution of APAC). First Sentier Investors (13/6/24): “ First Sentier Investors, a leading global investment manager, announced the appointment of Christy Goh as the Head of Intermediary Business, Asia, and CEO, Singapore, and named Marcus Ong as the Head of Institutional Business, Asia. Based in Singapore, Ms Goh will oversee the intermediary business and lead the team in Asia, covering the business and strategy development in both North and Southeast Asia. She was most recently the Head of Distribution, South East Asia. She joined First Sentier Investors in 2006, with more than two decades of experience in the financial industry. Mr Ong will be leading both North and Southeast Asia institutional sales activities. He joined First Sentier Investors as Director of Institutional Business in 2022, bringing in more than 10 years of experience in institutional client management and expertise to the business. He is also based in Singapore. Both promotions broaden the leadership team and reflect the business development efforts and success with which First Sentier Investors has been building across Asia. The appointments are effective immediately.”

Lauren Prendiville – Lauren Prendiville is the Managing Director and Head of Distribution, Asia Pacific (APAC) for First Sentier Investors. In her role, Lauren is responsible for managing the business in APAC (inclusive of Australia and New Zealand), overseeing the business development and the day-to-day functional operations in the region. Lauren is a member of the executive leadership team and a director on a number of company subsidiary boards. Lauren has over 20 years of asset management experience. Prior to joining First Sentier Investors, Lauren was the Executive Director, Institutional Business Development with Goldman Sachs Asset Management based in London and Singapore. Previously, Lauren was with Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Investec Asset Management, working across multiple client segments including pension funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and private clients. Lauren began her career in South Africa and after spending 10 years in London, she transferred to Singapore in 2009. Lauren holds an Investment Management Certificate and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD.
