Private equity firm CVC-led consortium is proposing a $6.8 billion (GBP 5.4 billion) offer to buy UK investment platform Hargreaves Lansdown, revising an earlier offer to 1,140 pence per share which is 15.7% higher than 2024 April offer of 985 pence per share. The consortium deadline for a formal offer is 19th July 2024. Hargreaves Lansdown was founded by in 1981 by Peter Hargreaves & Stephen Lansdown, and IPO on London Stock Exchange in 2007. The consortium comprises of CVC Advisers, Nordic Capital XI Delta, SCSP and Platinum Ivy B 2018 RSC (wholly-owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority).
