Top hedge fund Citadel founder & billionaire with $38 billion fortune Ken Griffin has bought a 150 million year-old dinosaur stegosaurus fossil skeleton nicknamed Apex for $44.6 million in an auction. In 2023 December, Ken Griffin & billionaire & co-founder of Asylum Records with $8.5 billion fortune David Geffen have donated $400 million to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York (United States) to advance cutting-edge cancer research & treatments. MSK: “The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York City has announced a $400 million gift from Kenneth C. Griffin, founder and CEO of Citadel, and David Geffen, founder of the David Geffen Foundation, to advance cutting-edge cancer research and treatments. The largest single donation in MSK’s nearly 150-year history combines nine-figure gifts from Griffin and Geffen.
