The Singapore Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) has arrested Singapore first cord blood bank Cordlife Non-Independent & Non-Executive Director Zhai Lingyun for potential disclosure breach. In 2024 March, the Singapore Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) had arrested Cordlife Group CFO Thet Hnin Yi for potential disclosure breach (Released on bail). The Singapore Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) had previously arrested ex-CEO & 4 directors for potential disclosure breach, which was reported in November 2023 of storage for cord blood cells were not maintained at the right temperature. The 5 arrested are ex-CEO Tan Poh Lan, and 4 directors, Dr Ho Choon Hou, Yeo Hwee Tiong, Cheong Tuck Yan Titus Jim & Chow Wai Leong. Cordlife Group CFO Thet Hin Yi assisted with the investigations. 4 other directors who are not based in Singapore had been told to report for interviews (Joseph Wong Wai Leung, Zhai Lingyun, Chen Xiaoling & Yiu Ming Yiu).
