United States asset manager Invesco with $1.7 trillion AUM has appointed CEO Australia Martin Franc as CEO Asia ex-Japan (2024 July), succeeding Terry Pan who has departed since joining in 2015. Terry Pan joined Invesco more than 9 years ago in 2015 after 11 years at JP Morgan Asset Management (Head of Hong Kong business). Martin Franc had joined Invesco more than 10 years ago in 2013, and led Invesco Australia since 2013 (CEO Australia). Martin Franc will be relocating from Melbourne to Hong Kong in his new role. Martin Franc, Invesco CEO Asia ex-Japan – Martin Franc was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Invesco Australia. Martin commenced as CEO in October 2013 and is responsible for building Invesco Australia’s business, which currently includes a premium institutional client base and a suite of domestic and offshore investment strategies for wholesale and sophisticated investors. Martin is also responsible for Invesco’s Asia Pacific Institutional business. Commencing his investment and financial experience in 1994, Martin brings to Invesco a solid track record of success in funds management sales and marketing. Prior to joining Invesco, Martin was head of distribution, sales and marketing at BT Investment Management where he oversaw growth in net sales throughout the Global Financial Crisis period. Before that, Martin was senior vice president of institutional sales at Putnam Investments where he presided over growth in its institutional book of business. He has also held other senior roles in marketing, business development and investment business management. Martin holds a BA degree in political science from the Australian National University and a graduate diploma from Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). Martin is also a Fellow of FINSIA.
