Manulife Investment Management with $830 billion AUM has hired ex-Goldman Sachs & Bank of Singapore Calvin Lim as Alternatives Investment Specialist in Singapore. Calvin Lim has more than 10 years of experience at Goldman Sachs in Private Wealth Management and Bank of Singapore (Product Specialist in Private Markets & Alternatives team). Manulife Investment Management (3/10/24): “Manulife Investment Management announced the appointment of Calvin Lim as Alternatives Investment Specialist, based in Singapore, effective today. He is responsible for supporting the efforts of Manulife Investment Management in bringing the firm’s range of private market capabilities, ranging from private equity, private credit, real assets, and more, to Asia. He will work alongside distribution teams in the region to deliver the firm’s suite of private market investment solutions to clients. Prior to joining Manulife Investment Management, Calvin was Product Specialist in the Private Markets & Alternatives team at Bank of Singapore, where he was responsible for the origination, due diligence and advisory of private market funds and direct investments, and hedge fund solutions for the global private wealth clients. He started his career in private wealth management with Goldman Sachs in Singapore after receiving his Bachelor of Business Management degree from Singapore Management University.” In 2024 February, Manulife Investment Management hired BlackRock Anne Valentine Andrews as Global Head of Private Markets. Anne Valentine Andrews joins from BlackRock after 9 years including as Global Head of Infrastructure and Real Estate. Prior to BlackRock, Anne Valentine Andrews was Co-Head & COO of Infrastructure Platform at Morgan Stanley. Manulife Investment Management: “Manulife Investment Management (Manulife IM), the global asset manager serving 17 million investors, today has announced Anne Valentine Andrews will join the firm on March 4 as Global Head of Private Markets. With more than 25 years of asset management and alternatives experience, Ms. Valentine Andrews will lead all investment teams and direct the overall strategy, business development and growth of Manulife IM’s private markets business. She and her team will also work closely with the firm’s global product group and the business leads to drive private market product innovation across the Institutional, Retail and Retirement channels. Based in New York, Ms. Valentine Andrews will report to Paul Lorentz, President and CEO of Manulife IM. Ms. Valentine Andrews joins Manulife IM from BlackRock, where she spent the past nine years, most recently serving as Managing Director, Global Head of Infrastructure and Real Estate.
