Philippines largest restaurant chain Jollibee ($5 billion market value) has received Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) approval to remove the 40% limit on foreign ownership of Jollibee, allowing more foreign investors to buy Jollibee shares. In 2024, Jollibee acquired 70% of South Korea Compose Coffee at $340 million valuation. In 2019, Jollibee acquired Coffee Bean & Tea Leaves in $350 million deal. In 2024, Jollibee announced to buy 70% of South Korea Compose Coffee at $340 million valuation, with Elevation Equity Partners Korea to buy 25% & Titan Dining II to buy 5% of Compose Coffee. South Korea Compose Coffee was founded in 2014 (Busan), and has around 2,740 stores. In 2019, Jollibee bought Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for $350 million ($100 million for 80% shareholding, $250 million in advances).
