India consumer finance giant Tata Capital has filed for India IPO with listing by 2025 September to raise $1.7 billion. Tata Capital was founded in 2007 by Tata Group as India Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). Tata Capital – Established in 2007, Tata Capital provides a wide range of loans, from housing to personal. Tata Sons is its top shareholder, with a 92.8% stake as of March 2024. Tata Capital Limited (“TCL”), the flagship financial services company of the Tata Group, is a subsidiary of Tata Sons Private Limited and is carrying on business as a non-banking financial company. Tata Capital and its subsidiaries are engaged in providing/supplying a wide array of services/products in the financial services sector and operates across various areas of business: Commercial Finance, Consumer Loans, Wealth Services and distribution and marketing of Tata Cards. In 2023, Tata Technologies IPO on National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with share price increasing by +165% on day 1 of trading (30/11/23) from IPO price of Rs 500 to close at Rs 1,326 on BSE with $6.5 billion market value.

Tata Technologies IPO was 69x oversubscribed on the final day of bidding with shares sold by Tata Motors, Alpha TC Holdings & Tata Capital Growth Fund.
