In 2018, Michael Spencer sold Nex Group to Chicago CME for £3.9 billion & received £721.6 million. In 2018, Michael Spencer increased his investment in Singapore insurer SingLife to 63.2% shareholding. In 2024, Sumitomo Life acquired SingLife for $3.4 billion. Piers Davison has more than 27 years of financial industry experience at JP Morgan (19 years) & Citigroup (6 years), and held senior roles including as Head of UK Financial Institutions Group at JP Morgan & Co-Head EMEA Financial Institutions Group at Citi. IPGL CEO is Seth Johnson (ex-NEX Markets CEO). IPGL is the privately held family office established by British entrepreneur and businessman Michael Spencer to manage his business interests.
