Japan SoftBank ($75 billion market value) has announced to buy United States semiconductor design company Ampere Computing for $6.5 billion in all-cash-deal. Ampere Computing was founded in 2018 by ex-Intel Renee James. Ampere investors include private equity firm Carlyle & Oracle Corp.
