Germany technology giant Siemens ($166 billion market value) has announced to by life sciences R&D software firm Dotmatics for $5.1 billion from private equity firm Insight Partners. Dotmatics was founded in 2005 by Stephen Gallagher & Alastair Hill. Siemens was founded in 1847 by Werner von Siemens. Dotmatics – Dotmatics is a leader in R&D scientific software connecting science, data, and decision-making. Its enterprise R&D platform and applications, including GraphPad Prism, SnapGene and Geneious, drive efficiency and accelerate innovation.
