The United States finance committee have found potential violations by Credit Suisse of continuing to help Americans evade tax, with Credit Suisse revealing 23 accounts with more than $20 million each and violating the 2014 tax evasion settlement agreement ($1.3 billion settlement, 50% discounted from $2.6 billion). The United States finance committee highlighted examples of $100 million from a United States family account and $220 million from a United States businessman. According to the United States finance committee, Credit Suisse bankers were incentivised by the amount of money they managed.
