Grocery delivery company Instacart (7/6/24: $8.8 billion market value) has announced the 3rd share buyback with $500 million, with previous buybacks totalling $1 billion. In 2023 September, Instacart IPO (Initial Public Offering) at $9.9 billion valuation on Nasdaq raising $660 million, with co-founder Apoorva Mehta (Age 37) becoming a billionaire with $1.1 billion personal fortune. With the IPO, Apoorva Mehta stepped down as Executive Chairman and CEO Fidji Simo succeeds as Executive Chairman. Instacart was founded in 2012.
