2 ex-Shell Singapore employees had received at least $1.7 million from stealing $163 million of Shell gas oil between 2007 to 2018, with the 2 ex-Shell employees Muzaffar Ali Khan Muhamad Akram (Age 42) & Koh Choon Wei (Age 40) pleaded guilty to all charges. Both earned a salary of $35,000 yearly. Muzaffar spent the money on opening a Japanese restaurant, buying a property in Australia & a Volkswagen car. Koh Choon Wei used the money for investments, downpayment for a condominium & buying a barbershop business. The conspiracy was started by ex-Shell employees Juandi Pungot & Abdul Latif Ibrahim in 2007. Juandi Pungot was sentenced to 29 years in jail in 2022. 2 others Cai Zhi Zhong was sentenced to 16 years & 3 months jail in 2022 & Tiah Kok Hwee was sentenced to 16 years & 4 months jail in 2023.
