Sri Lanka Ministry of Finance has issued a statement allowing switching $12.55 billion of bonds for new securities until 12th December 2024. In 2022, Sri Lanka had defaulted on bonds. Sri Lanka currently holds around $43 billion of foreign debts. Sri Lanka has GDP of $84 billion and 22 million population.
