Japan insurer Tokio Marine Life has hired HSBC Alistair Chamberlain as Tokio Marine Life Singapore CEO (2024 December). Alistair Chamberlain has more than 26 years financial & insurance industry experience at HSBC, AIA, Aviva & Standard Life, and held senior roles including as AIA Singapore CFO & HSBC Global Wealth & Insurance CFO. Profile – Alistair Chamberlain is the Chief Executive Officer and drives the strategic direction of Tokio Marine Group for its life business in Singapore. Alistair is an experienced insurance executive, with experience working across Europe and Asia. He trained as an Actuary in the UK before moving to Singapore in 2008, where he has since held senior roles including Chief Actuary, CFO, Product and Marketing with leading companies in Singapore. Prior to joining Tokio Marine, Alistair was the global CFO for the insurance business of a leading global banking and insurance group. Alistair has been chair of the actuarial sub-committee of the Life Insurance Association in Singapore and also served on the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) insurance committee and the Singapore Actuarial Society Council. Alistair is a Fellow of the actuarial associations in Singapore, UK and Hong Kong and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Edinburgh University (UK).
