Eva Law, Founder of Association of Family Offices in Asia (AFO):
“For long, AFO supports family principals and top executives in their enterprises who are looking to use sustainability as a competitive advantage and drive business growth & contribute to build a brighter future & a better world. Thereby, we see it is our natural duty to help families and their new generations in philanthropic endeavors.
We are excited when we can be useful and be trusted in inspiring and supporting the next generation leaders in families to understand the responsibility of their inheritance and its meaning to the family, to the business and to the people surrounding them. With extended relations with their corporations, it is the consequential outcome that we step up and provide tangible support in assisting their executives driving the sustainability and responsible business agenda. In brief, we serve family offices with substance, the hard work of MAG tells that AFO intends to be the contributing force in the ecosystem and live up to our vision in creating values to our stakeholders.”
Zheng Wei, Chair of Missions Action Group:
“There is a broad scope of discussion in society nowadays focusing on the importance of purpose in relation to business sustainability, family wealth, asset investment and personal fulfilment. Philanthropy can create a sense of purpose that drives family members to look beyond themselves and develops a mindset of stewarding their family wealth for the greater purpose, not just for their narrow personal interests.
Many new wealthy families in Asia have realized that family philanthropy could be an important element in aligning their wealth with a purpose for better succession. Thus it is both meaningful and pragmatic for AFO to establish the Missions Action Group to facilitate quality learning in the philanthropy and sustainability space to meet the growing needs of our family and family office members in Asia.
Kelvin Ung, Co-Chair of MAG Philanthropy & Legacy:
“AFO is developing a Blockchain based Philanthropy Exchange that will create an impact focused capital raising platform that connects the donors and communities in HK, China, Singapore and SouthEast Asia.
The Philanthropy Exchange will be the first blockchain based platform that runs across Asia utilising blockchain technologies to strengthen trust, to crystalize impacts and to support full regulatory compliance and auditability of core activities like fundraising, sustainability impact measurement and projects monitoring, the Exchange is standardising how NGOs and philanthropic funds interoperate across the region.”
Luke Tam, AFO Missions Leaders and Solution Developer:
“The software provides a one-stop application for managing fundraising and resources deployment.
It embodies the best practice of grant management and applicable standards for measuring impacts, manifesting AFO approach & philosophy of philanthropy and sustainability management.”
Professor Thomas C.C. Wong, Advisor to MAG:
“The world urgently needs family offices that have a higher purpose than just profits. We all need to make sure we will leave a better & more sustainable world to our future generations. The establishment of MAG will be a vital tool in helping us to achieve this meaningful objective.
I have always admired AFO and their meaningful works. I am very pleased to support the Missions Action Group by being their advisor.”
